Avail to deliver merchandising solution to major Nordic home entertainment retailer

Avail today announced the company has been selected by a major Nordic home entertainment retailer to deliver an online merchandising solution. The retailer is famous for its very large assortment of music, books, movies, games and consumer electronics products online.

The solution, based on the Avail Behavioral Merchandising/tm; platform, will be used to deliver personalized product recommendations to each individual shopper visiting the online store, driving more sales and across a broader range of products than would otherwise be possible.

The contract also includes the Avail Success/tm; package of merchandising services that extend Avail’s quality technical support with merchandising training, pro-active advice, and regular optimization workshops, provided by an experienced team of online merchandising experts.

“Normally this time of year, retailers are focused on serving Christmas shoppers, not sourcing e-commerce systems. But this year, we have seen an exceptionally strong demand well into December. Retailers across Europe are realizing offering a personalized shopping experience is no longer a plus – it’s a requirement.” said Pontus Kristiansson, CEO of Avail.
